Sappi Announces Order For A 20MW High Voltage Electrode Steam Boiler Secured By PARAT Halvorsen AS

Sappi, the globally renowned provider of renewable energy solutions, announced that the company has ordered a 20MW High Voltage Electrode Steam Boiler from PARAT (PARAT Halvorsen AS).

Technical specifications for the electrode steam boiler ordered for Sappi’s Maastricht Mill are - 10kV connection, 18 barg design pressure and 210°C design temperature, and it will be delivered with zero-load option for grid regulation. Sappi Maastricht was one of the plants that was granted SDE++ subsidies in the Netherlands, in 2021.

The project in Maastricht will be carried out in partnership with Eco Steam and Heating, which will be responsible for the installation of the electrode steam boiler on site.
