As a globally recognized company in flame-resistant (FR) and arc flash protective technologies, DuPont Personal Protection (DuPont) is pleased to announce a new, globally consistent naming convention for Nomex solutions, in order to help safety managers identify the best solution for their specific needs, regardless of the region or industry.

Nomex naming system

Harmonizing our Nomex naming system was in direct response to insights gathered from our end users. Safety managers wanted to specify consistent Nomex solutions, no matter where they were in the world and now, it's possible,” said David Domnisch, Global Business Director at DuPont Personal Protection.

The new naming system will enable safety managers in a wide range of industries, including oil & gas, utilities & mining, manufacturing & transportation and emergency response services, to specify the most appropriate Nomex solution needed for effective on-the-job protection.

Consistent performance, protection, and durability

Although many of the product names are changing, the performance, protection, and durability properties of these Nomex solutions will remain the same.

DuPont’s Global Business Director, David Domnisch adds, “This new brand architecture will help enable our customers to more easily identify the performance options available in the DuPont’s Nomex portfolio. We are excited to be investing in our brand and our innovation pipeline that will enable us to deliver more FR and ARC protective solutions in the future.

Wide range of PPE solutions

From first responders to industrial workers, DuPont provides a wide range of personal protection and PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) solutions, including some of the most trusted and innovative brands in the industry, such as Kevlar, Nomex, Tyvek, and Tychem to meet all safety needs.
