Advanced’s industry-renowned MxPro 5 fire alarm control panel is now compatible with Hochiki’s most sophisticated addressable multi-sensor device, the ACD.

The new development enables Advanced’s customers to install its EN54 parts 2, 4 and 13-approved MxPro 5 fire panels, alongside an even wider range of detection devices, delivering increased choice and flexibility.

MxPro 5 fire panels

As an open protocol fire panel manufacturer, we understand how important choice is to our customers"

Fire engineers and installers can now enjoy the performance, quality and ease of use advantages of installing Advanced’s MxPro 5 fire panels, while benefitting from the enhanced detection capabilities of Hochiki’s ACD multi-sensor, achieving greater levels of fire safety and peace of mind.

Gary Craig, the Sales Director at Advanced, said “As an open protocol fire panel manufacturer, we understand how important choice is to our customers. Having the ability to select from multiple detector ranges, including Hochiki’s ACD multi-sensor, provides fire system installers and engineers with the flexibility to create exactly the right system for their specific circumstances.

Hochiki’s ACD addressable loop-powered multi-sensor

On sites where false alarms can present issues, Advanced’s market-renowned fire panel technology can now be combined with Hochiki’s ACD addressable loop-powered multi-sensor, to dramatically reduce the occurrence of unwanted alarms.

MxPro 5 offers Advanced’s AlarmCalm false alarm management and reduction software as standard. While the ACD multi-sensor’s Reduced False Alarm (+RFA) function automatically adjusts the sensitivity of the optical sensing element over time, enabling the installer to ‘fine-tune’ the product to work perfectly with the MxPro 5 panel.

Advanced/Hochiki system offers a powerful solution

With both solutions in place, the Advanced/Hochiki system offers a powerful solution to drive down unwanted alarm incidents and the disruption, cost and inconvenience they can cause.

Commenting on the development, Nathan Hudson, Hochiki Europe’s Sales and Marketing Director, said “It is imperative that installers and end users get the greatest choice across the market when selecting fire detection products and systems. Not only to ensure the best products are used to protect people and property, but also to ensure budgets are met, especially important on complex projects.
