Abbot Fire Group is delighted to announce that they have achieved BAFE SP203-1, the accreditation for fire alarm design, installation, commissioning and maintenance. This is an extension of their existing BAFE SP203 accreditation for maintenance of fire alarms.
BAFE SP203-1 accreditation
The BAFE SP203-1 accreditation ensures that all elements of fire alarm design, installation, commissioning, handover, and maintenance are now covered by this independent third party, industry recognized accreditation.
Achieving this additional accreditation continues to prove Abbot Fire Group’s commitment to providing a competent service to their customers, and helping to raise standards within the fire protection industry.

BAFE accreditation, UKAS third party certification
BAFE accreditation is a UKAS (United Kingdom Accreditation Service) accredited third party certification which ensures that a provider is competent in the service they are offering.
In order to achieve BAFE SP203-1 accreditation, Abbot Fire Group demonstrated that they are working to the latest standards and best practice for fire alarm design, installation, commissioning, and maintenance. Management systems are checked and verified by UKAS trained assessors, and this process is continued on an annual basis.
The SP203-1 accreditation complements the other existing BAFE accreditations held by Abbot Fire Group, including SP101 Fire Extinguisher Service Provider and SP206 Kitchen Fire Protection System Service Provider. Abbot Fire Group provides a nationwide service for fire alarm design, installation, commissioning and maintenance, in addition to providing a range of other fire protection products and services.
