National Fire Chiefs Council (NFCC) guidelines

BAFSA said they will also work within the parameters of the member companies and partner associations

BAFSA said they will also work within the parameters of the member companies and partner associations and for this reason have cancelled the forthcoming seminars due to be held in Stafford and Bournemouth in the United Kingdom.

Following guidance from the National Fire Chiefs Council (NFCC), Fire Services in the UK will maintain Emergency Response and cease Protection Activity, unless a significant risk exists which could lead to loss of life. As the seminars were being co-hosted by the respective Fire and Rescue Services we agreed to work within the NFCC guidance and cancel these events until this situation is resolved.

Fire Safety Design Courses

BAFSA announced that they will continue to deliver their Design Courses, taking the appropriate measures for personal separation at the venue, until such time as the Government guidance changes. The British Automatic Fire Sprinkler Association (BAFSA) is the UK’s top professional trade association for the fire sprinkler industry.

BAFSA’s primary objectives include providing authoritative information on the benefits of sprinkler systems and how sprinklers can play a significant role in saving life and property from the devastating effects of fire. To this end, BAFSA works closely with the government, fire and rescue service, building control officers, insurers, architects and town planners.
