ZIEGLER announced delivering three new rescue vehicles to the fire brigades of Hengelo, Almelo and Enschede, located in Veiligheidsregio Twente, in the Netherlands.

All the three vehicles are built on Volvo chassis FH 420 6x2 with X-Track hydraulic front-wheel drive. Each of the chassis is equipped with a controlled trailing axle, air suspension, a Powertronic transmission and a driver cabin with 3 seats.

The rescue vehicles come equipped with superstructure Ziegler ALPAS system, which has a very durable construction made by aluminum panels, which can be easily changed for adaption if necessary. To ergonomically arrange the equipment, the double footsteps are designed and integrated in the wheel casing.

The new Z-Vision LED lighting system improves visibility into the usage. Additionally, a Firecolight mast CS.8605.NZ with a rotary and tilting system and a maximum height of 8 meters has been installed.

Hiab XS 244-EP5 HIPRO crane with hydraulic winch, TC-2

At the rear of the vehicle is a hydraulic loading and unloading crane, Hiab XS 244-EP5 HIPRO with a hydraulic winch TC-2. This combination also allows efficient lifting of parts of the vehicle’s superstructure.

In addition, the vehicle has a double winch. At the rear of the vehicle, there is a hydraulic winch FFW-7. This winch has a 50 meter long cable and a constant traction of 70 kN. The corresponding remote control has the ability to read the traction. In the front of the rescue vehicle, it is equipped with an electric winch DW-N6800E, and has a 25 meter long cable with a maximum traction of 68 kN.
