On Monday 19th September, the UKAS offices will be closed for all but essential business cover, to allow them all to pay their respects and commemorate the reign of Queen Elizabeth II on the day of her state funeral.

Information regarding UKAS

This notice outlines important information regarding the arrangements UKAS will be making:

  • Office Closure: Their office will be closed for normal business, but will remain open for essential business cover.
  • On-site/remote activities: UKAS will aim to minimize the impact on assessment/training activities. They have instructed the Assessment/Training teams to make the appropriate decision to proceed with critical assessment activities, in consultation with all affected customers and consider the opportunity to use remote assessment/training.
  • UKAS-led external events, website/social media: In keeping with the ten days of official mourning after the death of Queen Elizabeth II, UKAS-led external events will be postponed and we will restrict website/social media posts to only essential communications.

Although this is a very sad time for the Royal Family and a poignant time for them all, they can continue to acknowledge the unprecedented legacy of Her Majesty’s dedication to public service, dignity and humility, which continues to inspire the work and personal lives.
