Proud to announce the completion of a project that has seen 682 solar panels installed at the new manufacturing facility in the Algarve region of Portugal.
Building a sustainable and energy-efficient manufacturing facility was one of the key prerequisites for the new plant. The Al garve is one of the sunniest places in Europe which allows us to maximize on-site solar energy generation.

C11 Decarbonization of Industry is a component of the RRP as it will help Portugal to achieve its goal
The 682 solar panels generate c.300KW of energy which means that 80% of the facility’s energy needs will be supplied by solar power. The on-site solar energy generation has jumped an impressive 600% compared to the former manufacturing plant.
The investment in the panels has been made under the Portuguese Recovery and Resilience Plan (RRP) which is financed by the European Union. C11 Decarbonization of Industry is a key component of the RRP as it will help Portugal to achieve its goal of becoming carbon neutral by 2050. It aims to reduce greenhouse gas emissions from the industrial sector.
