The Kidde Fire Protection Natura™ Inert Gas System by Kidde Australia has transformed the way installers think about deploying inert gas fire suppression systems, delivering savings in time, and installation costs and bringing peace of mind to mission-critical operations.
two advantages
The essence of this innovation comes from the Kidde pressure-regulated valve which offers two distinct advantages. Firstly the 90-degree hoses installed on the top exit port of the valve allow easier access around the cylinder and lower the overall installed manifold height.
Secondly, the requirement for complex hardware to conduct pilot line testing is eliminated.
exclusive valve cap
The pilot line is functioning and can be reset with a simple finger press without the need for additional tools
The exclusive valve cap that actuates under pressure provides an instant visual representation to operators that the pilot line is functioning and can be reset with a simple finger press without the need for additional specialist tools.
The key benefit of this function by comparison to other high-pressure inert gas systems is that it provides building owners, engineers, and installers peace of mind; that the system is fully functional, and the performance can be replicated on demand as part of annual testing or commissioning schedules alike.
Kidde Natura™ Inert Gas System
The Kidde Natura™ Inert Gas System offers nozzles with 360° and 180° discharge patterns which can be oriented in either upright or pendant style. These nozzles can be used in conjunction with Kidde’s Nozzle Silencer which reduces the sound pressure level significantly upon discharge in comparison to standard nozzles (below 100db dependent on flow rate) and is particularly useful in areas where sensitive electronic equipment is used such as Data Center or Server Room.
Kidde’s Nozzle Silencers can also be retrofitted to existing Kidde ‘469’ and ‘C60’ 300bar systems without the requirement for any pipework modification. The number and size of the orifice on each nozzle are calculated using the Flow Calculation Software Suite.
reduced installation and labor costs
Installation time and labor costs are further reduced with the use of pre-fabricated manifolds, quick-connect actuation hoses, and ‘Quick Connect’ cables.
The unique ‘Quick Connect’ cables provide an expedient method of wiring the pressure gauges of the Release Unit and Slave Cylinder Gauge Assemblies. The open contacts of the supervisory pressure switch are connected in parallel using the same ‘Quick Connect’ cables in a daisy chain form.
degrees of flexibility
Kidde Natura™ Inert Gas System is the natural choice for the inert gas fire suppression system
Kidde Natura™ Inert Gas System offers high degrees of flexibility with a choice of multiple agents (IG55, IG54,1, and IG100), efficient installation, and overall lower total cost of ownership driven by reduced material, installation, and labor costs, as well as a more economical refill cost after a discharge.
With global approvals and a selection of agents and hardware profiles, Kidde Natura™ Inert Gas System is the natural choice for the inert gas fire suppression system.
Kidde Flexi-Gas™ Enclosure
The introduction of the Kidde Flexi-Gas™ Enclosure from Kidde now provides an easy and convenient solution to retrofit small format inert gas systems applications where internal storage is not possible due to space constraints.
This allows the cylinder bank(s) to be shipped from the factory ready to be installed and shielded from the environment. Natura™ is a product of Kidde Fenwal LLC and the Natura™ is owned by Kidde Fenwal, LLC.
