Fire and Rescue NSW (FRNSW) crews have rushed to a park in Sydney's south-west where a light plane has made a crash landing.

The single-engine aircraft, with two people on board, was on a training flight when it made a forced landing at Terone Sports Park in Bossley Park, around 2.30 this afternoon. It appears the plane suffered engine failure in flight. The young pilot shut down a series of onboard systems and made the emergency landing.
