The latest FLAIM Trainer June 2020 R1 release brings a range of exciting new scenarios and enhancements to the learning platform.

Their growing Development team has meant the expertise has grown, meaning they can deliver more realistic training environments that facilitate training in a wide range of incidents for all levels of firefighter competence to the customers.

Realistic training environments

  • Trainee firefighters can now experience 35 diverse training environments in aviation, residential, wildfire, transport and mining.
  • The graphics have been completely reworked to enhance realism, and they’ve added a number of night environments.
  • They’ve updated their fire behavior models to improve the dynamics of fire, water, smoke and foam interaction based on over 10 years of research and development with their partners globally.

Enhanced capability for training instructors

  • They’ve improved their instructor interface, with an added feature that enables capture of live After Action Review notes for each trainee firefighter against a set of preinstalled but modifiable training metrics.
  • One can also now localize the user interface into the following languages: German, Dutch, Chinese, French, Spanish, Russian, Arabic and Japanese.
