On 6th - 10th January, Lorient hosted its first Safety Week at Endeavour House, Newton Abbot, United Kingdom (UK).
The aim of Safety Week is to highlight the importance of health and safety across all areas of the business, including a review of their current safety performance and achievements over the last 12 months; and to identify their key safety resolutions for 2020.
Number of workshops held
A number of workshops were undertaken throughout the week, including hazard spotting in the work area; viewing indicative fire tests; a safety focus vote; culminating in everyone signing the Safety Commitment board at the end of the week with pizza!
The 3 safety behavior resolutions they committed to focus on at Lorient throughout 2020 are:
- Working together
- Take responsibility for own actions
- Dare to question and stop unsafe behaviors
To celebrate the end of Safety Week, the winning safety slogan for 2020 was revealed -
‘Safety is the key - it’s up to you and me!’
