Fire and Rescue NSW (FRNSW) has assisted specialist NSW Police Rescue and NSW Ambulance in rescuing a man who had fallen from a ladder at a construction site in Epping.

A crane was used to transport emergency services personnel to the upper levels of the site

As the high-rise building is still under construction, a crane was used to transport emergency services personnel to the upper levels of the site.

The rescue proved to be extremely challenging as police, firefighters and paramedics had to navigate their way through narrow openings and unfinished building areas.

Paramedics gain access to the casualty

Paramedics eventually gained access to the casualty, where they proceeded to stabilize and treat the man for his injuries.

He was then strapped onto a rescue stretcher and brought down to the ground level through an access hole created by the onsite workers, police and firefighters. The man was then transported to hospital for further treatment.
