Fire and Rescue NSW (FRNSW) has released dramatic new video footage capturing the moment when a building wall in Surry Hills collapsed onto the street.
The incident occurred as the fire consumed the seven-storey structure on Randle Street shortly after 4 p.m.
Safety of Emergency Crews
The firefighting efforts continue with over 100 firefighters tirelessly working to control and extinguish the blaze. Multiple ladder trucks have been deployed, as part of the more than 20 FRNSW appliances present at the scene.
A substantial exclusion zone remains enforced to safeguard emergency crew members and the general public. Authorities are advising the public to steer clear of the area, while firefighting operations proceed.
