In total, five CFS trucks, one MFS truck, and a Bulk Water Carrier worked to bring the fire under control, and SA Ambulance and SAPOL were on the scene to assist.

The garage and its contents were destroyed, however, due to the quick work of crews, the house was saved, with only minor damage to the adjoining wall. There are no reported injuries. The damage bill is estimated at between $100,000 and $150,000, and a cause is yet to be determined.
