For many years, Italy has been demanding the active use of fire fighting systems in trains in addition to the usual use of fire detection systems.
Following this demand, a part of the TGV fleet to be used in the future on the high-speed line between Milan and Paris will therefore also be retrofitted with a fire fighting system from AQUASYS. The first retrofit sets of the high-pressure water mist system will already be delivered this year.

One of the main reasons for the confidence in AQUASYS, besides a corresponding proof of effectiveness recognized in Italy, was the close cooperation in the design creation with the detection manufacturer as well as the operator of the train.
This made it possible to find a solution that ensures both simple integration of the system into the existing train structure and maximum accessibility of the important components for inspection and maintenance purposes.
The successful implementation of this project was supported by the long-standing partnership with the Italian detection specialist ISE, which was very instrumental in supporting the intensive analysis and detailed planning. As a result, the customer receives customized and prefabricated installation kits. This enables the operator to install the systems independently on-site using detailed step-by-step installation instructions.
