VIKING has appointed Mira Nielsen as the new CFO, effective from 4 March. This follows a thorough recruitment process that began in the autumn and was completed before Christmas when then-CEO Henrik Uhd Christensen and Mira Nielsen reached an agreement.

With Mira Nielsen, VIKING adds a financial profile with extensive international experience. She has worked in several large companies in Europe and the USA, including as VP of Finance Management Support and part of the General Management Team in Tryg and, most recently, as CFO for Falck’s Ambulance Services in California, USA.

Prior roles of Nielsen

"With her extensive experience in financial management, Mira Nielsen will be a strong addition to our management team and help ensure that we deliver on our strategy," says Mette Brødholt Berg, Vice President People & Organization at VIKING.

Mira Nielsen replaces Gert Lillebæk, who has held the CFO position at VIKING for the past 24 years. Gert Lillebæk will remain at VIKING to ensure a smooth handover and will continue in the Executive Management until a replacement for Henrik Uhd Christensen has been appointed CEO. After this, Gert Lillebæk will transfer to a consultant position for the new CEO.
