Apollo’s SOTERIA Dimension has been shortlisted in the ‘Innovation of the year for Fire’ category at this year’s Safety and Health Excellence (SHE) Awards.
The SHE Awards recognize outstanding achievements in health, safety, wellbeing, fire safety and security. Winners of the 10 categories will be announced at a gala dinner on the 11th of April at the Vox in Resorts World, NEC Birmingham, hosted by Rory Bremner.
Flat Optical Fire Detectors
SOTERIA® Dimension is a range of sleek, flat optical fire detectors. Its innovative design differs from standard fire detectors in that it has no chamber and is flush-mounted when installed. A new optical sensing technology is used to detect smoke particles outside the detector housing. A combination of Infra-Red (IR) LEDs and photo-diodes identify smoke particles, detected just below the detector housing and initiates an alarm.
The new range consists of an Optical Detector designed for commercial environments with high aesthetic requirements and a Specialist Optical Detector, designed for custodial and care environments.
