SOCOTEC Consulting, Inc., a pioneer in the Testing, Inspection, and Certification (TIC) sector, has successfully acquired Forge Engineering, a company based in Naples, Florida. Forge Engineering is known for its expertise in Forensics Engineering, Marine Engineering, Building Sciences Engineering, Geotechnical Engineering, Environmental Engineering, and Construction Materials Testing. This acquisition aims to enhance SOCOTEC's service offerings within the building and infrastructure markets.
Expansion of Technical Services
SOCOTEC CEO Marc Weissbach commented on the acquisition by saying, “Today is another exciting day for SOCOTEC, for Forge Engineering, and for our respective clients around the world.” He noted that integrating Forge Engineering strengthens SOCOTEC's technical services platform by adding geotechnical and environmental consulting alongside materials testing. This strategic move is intended to fortify SOCOTEC's position in the infrastructure market, specifically in pre-construction, construction, and post-construction phases. Weissbach emphasized how Forge's services complement SOCOTEC’s existing offerings in forensic and dispute resolution, ensuring comprehensive support for clients throughout the lifecycle of their assets.
