On the afternoon of 02/29/2020, CSVHFD Paramedics and Firefighters responded to a medical emergency in a local neighborhood. With a wonderful outcome, and no need to transport the patient to the hospital, the paramedics and firefighters spent some time on the scene with the local residents and children showing them the equipment they use every day to help someone potentially in need of their services. 

On the evening of 02/29/2020, CSVHFD Firefighters responded into the city of Edgewood along with Erlanger, Elsmere, Fort Mitchell, and Florence Fire Departments for a large residential structure fire in the 3,000 blocks Turkeyfoot Rd. CSVHFD members operated on the scene for approximately 1.5 hours prior to returning to a jurisdiction. During this time, the paramedics and firefighters were also able to staff 2 ambulances and 2 additional pieces of fire apparatus.

Over the coming months, Schiphol’s fire service will be phasing in 13 new Rosenbauer fire engines, also known as crash tenders. The airport’s fire service will be using them to deal with aviation incidents. The crash tenders belong to the largest and fastest category of fire engines. Bedfordshire Fire and Rescue Service were called to reports of a fire at a thatched property.
