Johnson Controls has introduced an extension to its Tyco corridor sprinkler line with the debut of the Series RFII-C Royal Flush II Quick Response Concealed Pendent sprinkler.
This addition follows the recent launch of the EC-8C Light Hazard Quick Response sprinkler and aims to deliver cost efficiency by requiring fewer sprinklers at lower design pressures compared to standard sprinklers.
NFPA-13-Compliant Systems
Designed for narrow and elongated spaces, these UL-listed sprinklers offer a maximum coverage area of 28 feet by 10 feet (8.5 meters by 3.1 meters).
They are engineered for automatic sprinkler systems compliant with NFPA-13 standards, aligning with Johnson Controls' OpenBlue mission of promoting health and sustainability. This product line promises quick, easy installation and provides financial savings.

The Series RFII-C 5.6 K-factor Royal Flush II offers a concealed design, maintaining aesthetic appeal in corridors and hallways. The sprinkler features a 3-mm bulb-type mechanism hidden by a flat cover plate, which comes in various colors and finishes for enhanced decor.
Each unit is compatible with assembly components to simplify system testing and servicing. The sprinkler also accommodates half an inch (12.7 mm) of vertical adjustment for more flexible installation.
Specifications of EC-8C Sprinkler
Suited for areas with finished ceilings, the EC-8C 8.0 K-factor Light Hazard Quick Response Recessed Pendent sprinkler features an orifice fine-tuned for a 0.1 gal/min/ft² commercial light-hazard design density at pressures as low as 8.3 psi (0.6 bar).
It offers two mounting options: the Style 30 recessed escutcheon, allowing up to half an inch (12.7 mm) of adjustment, and the Style 40, offering three-fourths of an inch (19.05 mm) of vertical adjustment. Protection against corrosion is ensured with specialized coatings.

Cost-effective and designed for quick, easy installation, these sprinklers are intended for use in NFPA-13 compliant automatic sprinkler systems. The corridor sprinkler family helps serve the Johnson Controls OpenBlue mission of supporting healthy people, healthy places and a healthy planet.
Series RFII-C Royal Flush II sprinkler
The Series RFII-C 5.6 K-factor Royal Flush II Quick Response Concealed Pendent sprinkler features a concealed design, allowing for uninterrupted aesthetics in hallways and corridors. To achieve this decorative look, the 3-mm bulb-type sprinkler features a flat cover plate that hides the unit. Aesthetics can be further enhanced with a variety of colors and finishes for the cover plates.
Each sprinkler is compatible with a cover plate and retainer assembly and a sprinkler and support cup assembly to allow easier system testing and servicing. The RFII-C also allows for a ½-inch (12.7 mm) of vertical adjustment to provide flexibility in the length of fixed piping for the sprinkler drops.
Series EC-8C sprinkler
Ideal for areas with a finished ceiling, the EC-8C 8.0 K-factor Light Hazard, Quick Response Recessed Pendent sprinkler offers an orifice optimized for a 0.1 gal/min/ft2 commercial light-hazard design density at pressures as low as 8.3 psi (0.6 bar). There are two options for the EC-8C: the two-piece Style 30 recessed escutcheon, which provides up to ½-inch (12.7 mm) of total adjustment from the flush pendent position, or the Style 40, which provides ¾-inch (19.05 mm) of vertical adjustment. This sprinkler also features corrosion-resistant coatings.
