The Idaho Falls Fire Department responded to a structure fire on the 3000 block of South Professional Way on March 13, 2024 morning.

The reporting party called 911 around 7 a.m., saying they could see flames inside a commercial building. Firefighters arrived minutes later and entered the building, which was filled with smoke.

Fire response

Firefighters located a small fire inside the building. The fire was extinguished and contained to the building's contents. The fire did not spread to the structure itself. There is extensive smoke damage throughout the building.

The fire department remained on scene for over an hour while smoke was ventilated from the building. There were no injuries to both civilians or firefighters. IFFD responded with three engines, two ambulances, a ladder truck, and a battalion chief. The IFFD Fire Prevention and Investigation Division is investigating the cause of the fire. There is currently no estimated value of damages.
