Overnight, a large scrap metal yard fire erupted in Blacktown, Sydney's west, mobilizing over 80 firefighters from Fire and Rescue NSW (FRNSW).
The blaze was reported around 1 a.m. on Tattersall Road, generating multiple Triple Zero (000) emergency calls due to a significant smoke plume and visible flames.

More than 25 fire engines, including aerial platforms and large water tankers, were dispatched to tackle the 'fourth alarm' fire.
The firefighting teams managed to control the intense blaze within 30 minutes by attacking it from various fronts.
Utilization of Heavy Machinery
After containing the fire, firefighters employed heavy machinery to dismantle the smoldering scrap pile, enabling access to buried hot spots.
Crews worked to fully extinguish the flames and remained on-site to monitor conditions. Authorities are currently investigating the cause of the fire.
