Fire and Rescue NSW (FRNSW) teams are currently responding to a major traffic incident involving multiple vehicles on the M1 Motorway at Mooney Mooney.
The incident has led to blockages on all three north-bound lanes of the motorway.
Emergency Response and Impact
A total of five FRNSW fire trucks, along with support from the Rural Fire Service, were dispatched to the scene following reports of possible motorists trapped in the wreckage.
The crashes occurred near the motorway's north-bound off-ramp around 11.20 am.
Details of the Collisions
The initial crash involved a collision between four vehicles. Shortly thereafter, a second crash occurred, adding to the pile-up with three additional vehicles.
Fortunately, there have been no reports of serious injuries arising from these incidents.
