At approximately 05:30, E811 was alerted to respond to the 5900 block of Riggs Road as the working fire engine on a house fire in Company 44’s area.
Units on scene reported a two-story single-family dwelling with fire showing from both levels. Crews removed one trapped victim from the home. The victim was transported in critical condition and pronounced deceased at the hospital.
Upon arrival, E811 assisted units on the scene with extinguishing hotspots and overhaul the structure before returning to service.
