Renovation of Mill to Distillery
Transforming a 300-year-old paper Mill with over 1000 years of history within a Conservation Area and a Site of Special Scientific Interest took patience and dedication.
Working with Heatherwick Studio, Bombay Sapphire sympathetically renovated Laverstoke Mill into a sustainable distillery that showcases the natural beauty and industrial heritage of the site.
Installation of Fire alarm
To protect the historic property, AFS installed a state-of-the-art Notifier networked fire alarm system across the entire site.
A particular challenge was the protection of the stills as the production process creates an explosive atmosphere, requiring the use of EEXD classified intrinsically safe and explosion-proof equipment.
