At approximately 05:30, E811 was alerted to respond to the 5900 block of Riggs Road as the working fire engine on a house fire in Company 44’s area. Units on scene reported a two-story single-family dwelling with fire showing from both levels. Crews removed one trapped victim from the home. Almost 300 ambulance shifts were completed by Norfolk’s firefighters during their first month of supporting their blue light colleagues during the Covid-19 pandemic. Eric Lounsbury has joined the Hannay team as the new Facilities Director and Coatings/Finishing Manager. For the past 4 years, Eric has been the site facilities manager at GlaxoSmithKline’s plant in Oak Hill, New York.
