Fire and Rescue NSW (FRNSW) is actively battling a significant blaze at a waste facility in Artarmon, located on Sydney's lower north shore.
The fire, which began to devastate the building on Lanceley Place shortly after 3 p.m., has required the effort of over 80 firefighters and more than 20 FRNSW trucks to combat the flames.

NSW Ambulance paramedics evaluated two firefighters who experienced heat exhaustion amidst firefighting efforts. One firefighter was transported to Royal North Shore Hospital for further medical attention, while the other received treatment at the scene.
A lightning storm passing through at the time temporarily halted aerial operations to safeguard the personnel.
