Fire and Rescue NSW (FRNSW) successfully tackled a significant fire at Lethbridge Park in Sydney's west. The incident, which occurred last night, originated from a suspected electrical fault, leading to several explosions at a residence on Mindanao Crescent shortly after 5 p.m.

A total of eight fire engines and 36 firefighters responded promptly to the scene. They encountered a substantial plume of black smoke emerging from the property. Equipped with breathing apparatus, the firefighters worked intensively for 10 minutes to control the flames, which had spread to a neighboring house. The intensity of the fire was exacerbated by the presence of eight motorcycles, four go-karts, and a stockpile of petrol, oils, and aerosols stored in a 20m x 10m garage.

The firefighter crews acted swiftly to ensure the safety of the home's occupants — a 33-year-old man, a 54-year-old woman, and a 60-year-old man — along with their dog. After a concerted effort, they managed to extinguish the blaze within 40 minutes, preventing further spread to three nearby homes.
