It was the purr-fect ending for an adventurous moggy in Meadowbank in Sydney's north west. Fire and Rescue NSW firefighters were called to a residence in Constitution Road at 1.00 pm after the owner reported the feline, 'Vader', was stuck in the roof cavity of the home.
The crew quickly located the cat above a light fitting in the kitchen and after switching off the power, firefighters cut the gyprock to gain access to the feline. Vader was clearly in a hurry to be released as he poked his head out of the hole wanting to get out.

A firefighter reached in and gently wriggled the cat to safety. Upon release, Vader appeared to be oblivious to the fuss he had caused and casually strolled off out of the kitchen.
The owner is at a loss as to how Vader made his way into the roof cavity, but is hoping he won't do it again anytime soon.
