SOCOTEC, a pioneer in Testing, Inspection, and Certification (TIC) services, has bolstered its presence in the building construction and infrastructure sectors by acquiring four strategic companies. The acquisitions include Future Tech Consultants of New York (FTC), DnA Controlled Inspection, Gorman Jr. Fire Alarm Consulting Services, and ANDT Inspection. These companies specialize in various aspects of inspection, including fire alarms, sprinklers, and non-destructive testing, expanding SOCOTEC’s capabilities in the New York tri-state area.
With these acquisitions, SOCOTEC has added approximately 125 professionals to its workforce, significantly expanding its service portfolio. The integration of FTC and DnA strengthens SOCOTEC's Special and Progress Inspections while ANDT enhances the Non-Destructive Testing service line. The acquired companies will be incorporated into SOCOTEC's Engineering Testing, Inspection, and Certification (ETIC) division. This integration aims to fortify SOCOTEC’s market presence and existing expertise while establishing more defined service lines in Special & Progress Inspection and Testing. These efforts will strengthen SOCOTEC's inspection and testing services offered throughout the tri-state area, which houses the largest construction market in the United States.
Jeremy Schinasi, Principal of SOCOTEC USA and Practice Pioneer, remarked, "The acquisitions of WGJ, DnA, FTC, and ANDT strengthen and diversify the full suite of services that we can provide to our clients."
