Fire and Rescue NSW (FRNSW) teams swiftly responded to a skydiving accident in Wilton, located on the southwestern outskirts of Sydney.
A 24-year-old skydiver encountered trouble upon landing near Picton Road shortly after 1:30 PM, resulting in a crash into a tree.
Emergency Services On Scene
The accident caused tree branches to break, leading to the individual's fall from a height of up to 10 meters, resulting in a lower back injury.
Two FRNSW crews, alongside NSW Ambulance, NSW Police, the Rural Fire Service, and the State Emergency Service, were deployed to the scene to offer immediate assistance.
Medical Assistance and Stabilization
Efforts were made to stabilize the patient to facilitate his transportation by a medical helicopter to a hospital for further treatment. The skydiver is believed to have suffered spinal injuries due to the fall.
