With his 29 years of experience in the industry, the very own Darren Baird has been selected as a keynote speaker for Procurement for Housing (PfH) Live 2019, Europe’s largest and most inclusive housing festival.
Darren’s session will be from 14:00-14:30 on Wednesday, 26th June, and the focus of the discussion will be: Fire Risk Management – What is the organizational risk?
Fire risk assessments
This will look at the fire risk management cycle and, in particular, the difficulties in managing the outputs (significant findings) of the fire risk assessments and the difficulties in managing multiple actions across differing property types.
Some of the key discussion points will be:
- Competency required in conducting fire risk assessments
- Fire risk management in a post-Grenfell, Hackett Review world
- How do you effectively manage the fire risk assessment actions?
- The difference between life safety and property protection actions.

Kicking off on Tuesday, 25th June, PfH Live is hosted in Manchester’s exhibition center, Manchester Central, and is co-located with the Chartered Institute of Housing’s event: Housing 2019.
