ASC Engineered Solutions has launched two new patent-pending rigid couplings designed to streamline fire safety piping system installations.
The recently introduced SPF Anvil Fig. C9-CL and Gruvlok Fig. FP74CL include Sabertooth™ Installation Technology, which facilitates swift and precise visual and tactile installation verification. These couplings have gained both FM Approval and UL Listing, ensuring they are ready to meet industry standards.
Efficient Grooved Fire System Joint Installation
The Fig. C9-CL and Fig. FP74CL couplings provide one of the most efficient methods for grooved fire system joint installation currently available.
With a simple touch or brief look, installers can confirm the couplings are correctly positioned, even in challenging environments such as tight or dimly lit spaces or areas obscured by ductwork. This quick verification process allows contractors to proceed confidently with their work.
Innovative Coupling Design
The newly developed CenterLOK™ gasket in the Fig. C9CL and Fig. FP74CL ensures precise alignment
These new couplings feature an improved design over traditional indicators like "positive offset" or "pad gap," which can sometimes be ambiguous. By running fingers across the indicator surfaces, installers can easily confirm the couplings are secured properly, reducing the risk of overtightening bolts.
The newly developed CenterLOK™ gasket in the Fig. C9CL and Fig. FP74CL ensures precise alignment with pipe end grooves, facilitating straightforward two-handed placement.
Ready-to-Install State and Domestic Manufacturing
The Fig. C9CL and Fig. FP74CL are supplied in a ready-to-install condition, eliminating the need for loose parts or disassembly before use. This introduction by ASC Engineered Solutions represents a valuable addition to their wide array of innovative joining and hanging solutions tailored for the fire safety installer sector.
Notably, the Fig. FP74CL is produced in the USA, meeting domestic product requirements where necessary.
