COVID-19 (Coronavirus) has impacted many businesses over the last couple of weeks, and Apollo is no different. The company has been closely monitoring it, evaluating the effect it has, and will have, on their people, customers and business operations. They wanted to make it clear that they are taking this situation seriously and have already begun to take appropriate steps to keep their business operational whilst ensuring the safety of their colleagues.

First, Apollo has introduced social distancing to combat the spread of the virus. This policy is paramount in reducing unnecessary social contact, keeping it to a minimum within the government guidelines. Other strategies have been put in place, including additional shift patterns, working from home for those able, and the suspension of business travel. These temporary policies have been initiated to ensure that the business runs as normal.

additional health & safety measures

Their facilities already have robust hygiene standards and are closely following advice from Public Health England. As a precaution, all industry events and Apollo product training sessions have been cancelled or postponed at this time.

Measures in place to ensure normal business operation:

  • The processing and shipping of orders continue as usual with additional health & safety measures implemented in their warehouse and dispatch areas.
  • Apollo is working with their logistics partners to ensure acceptable delivery schedules.
  • The supply chain remains unaffected.
  • They are holding additional stock of key components where available and appropriate.
  • They are taking steps to manufacture additional buffer stock where possible.

COVID-19 has presented difficult and challenging obstacles to overcome. It has affected multiple nations, disrupting peoples work and home lives significantly. In unfortunate times like this, it is Apollo's joint responsibility to take care of each other, to show kindness and to move forwards with compassion and strength. They are grateful to their people for continuing to serve their customers, their dedication and tenacity are why Apollo has been fighting fit for over 40 years.
