The fireboats used by the Marine Division of the New York City Fire Department (FDNY) use Rotork’s IQ range of part-turn intelligent electric actuators to keep the city safe. A homeless man in Leighton Buzzard, helped rescue a child from a burning building. Bedfordshire Fire and Rescue Service were called to reports of a building fire in North Street, Leighton Buzzard. The fire originated in the first floor kitchen of a three storey terraced building and was believed to have been started by a cooking appliance. At approximately 0400 on Sunday morning, E811 and C811A were alerted to respond to a house fire in Beltsville. First units on scene advised they had fire through the roof and on side Charlie. E811 operated as the third due engine on the house fire in Company 31’s area. E811 crew advanced a 2” attack line through side A and extinguished fire in the attic.
