A car and truck have been destroyed by fire overnight in Granville in Sydney's west. Fire and Rescue NSW (FRNSW) was called to the incident in Sixth Street around 3.15 am, after reports of a car well alight. Firefighters arrived to find one vehicle totally engulfed in flames with a truck parked directly behind also on fire. The crew quickly got to work and extinguished the blaze within an hour. There were no reports of injuries or other property damage.

Investigations are continuing into a car fire in Granville early this morning. Fire and Rescue NSW (FRNSW) were called to Abeckett Street around 3.45 am after reports of a car fully alight in the area. Firefighters quickly got to work to contain the blaze, which was threatening nearby cars and properties.
