Eltek Fire & Safety Ei146 is a smoke detector powered by 230V AC directly from the mains, and also has a 9V alkaline battery backup in case of power failure. The detector's backup battery can drive smoke alarm for up to two years by a mains failure. The detector also functions as an effective optical chamber with insect net reduction of false alarms, and the possibility of connecting up to 12 devices so that an alarm on one of the devices will alert the others in the chain. Ei146 has a built-in circuit that suppresses peaks in supply voltage and RF interference so it is further protected against false alarms caused by external influences.
