Wessex Fire & Security has appointed a new Service Manager to help strengthen and develop its growing maintenance and service operation.

James McWilliams is highly experienced within the industry and has spent a number of years working overseas in the Middle East.

He will head a team of 36 at the company’s service department that is increasing in size as the firm grows and diversifies into new areas.

James, who will be based at Wessex Fire & Security’s home in Shaftesbury, Dorset, is focused on maintaining the high standards of quality service and customer care.

The company employs nearly 90 staff, turns over £7m a year, and is active in all areas of fire and security work across the South.

Chris Stott, Managing Director of Wessex Fire & Security, said: “James has huge experience within our industry and that will be of great benefit to us as we move forward.”

“He comes from an engineering background but more recently has been a branch and business manager both here and abroad.”

“He is highly customer- and quality-focused and his background means he understands all parts of the industry.”

“Wessex Fire & Security has a very bright future and I expect James to be an important part of it.”

James said: “It is exciting to be joining Wessex Fire & Security whose reputation within the industry is growing.”

“The company also places great value of looking after its customers and striving for the highest standards, which is of great importance.”

Wessex Fire and Security is part of the Wessex Group, which this year is celebrating its 50th anniversary.
