3AA ProPolymer HAZ-LO Helmet Kit provides comfortable, secure and cost-effective way for firefighters
The 3AA ProPolymer HAZ-LO features C4 LED to deliver 120 lumens, 14,000 candela peak beam

Streamlight, Inc., a leading manufacturer of flashlights for fire and rescue uses, announced it has introduced the new 3AA ProPolymer HAZ-LO Helmet Kit, featuring the 3AA ProPolymer HAZ-LO flashlight, and a Streamlight helmet clamp and rubber strap for mounting the light to any firefighter helmet.

The kit provides a comfortable, secure and cost-effective way for firefighters and other professionals to attach the flashlight to both traditional and modern style firefighter helmets.  It also can be used to attach the Streamlight 4AA ProPolymer series of lights to helmets.

The 3AA ProPolymer HAZ-LO recently received safety rating approval based on the requirements of the ANSI/UL 913 7th Edition CAN/CSA C22.2 NO 157-97 intrinsic safety standards from Underwriters Laboratories (UL) and Underwriters Laboratories of Canada (ULC).  This intrinsic safety standard used in Division 1 locations holds products to more stringent requirements than ever before.

“Firefighters and industrial workers rely on flashlights like the 3AA ProPolymer HAZ-LO to perform safely under trying and frequently dangerous conditions,” said Streamlight Vice President, Sales and Marketing, Michael F. Dineen. “Now they can quickly convert this lighting tool to hands-free operation, by using either the included aluminum clamp or rubber helmet strap to attach it to their helmet.”

Both the clamp and strap can be attached and adjusted to the brim of almost any style firefighting helmet with no tools required. The clamp is made of lightweight aluminum.  The rubber helmet strap is made of engineered high-strength rubber.

The 3AA ProPolymer HAZ-LO features a C4 LED to deliver 120 lumens, 14,000 candela peak beam intensity and a run time of 6.5 hours.

Manufactured from durable thermoplastic material that offers superior resistance to chemicals and solvents used in many industries, the light also features a mechanical locking mechanism that prevents the battery compartment from being opened without the aid of a tool. This helps to prevent batteries from being changed out, or the housing from inadvertently being opened, in a hazardous environment.

Weighing only 7.5 ounces and measuring 7 inches in length, the light is powered by three “AA” size alkaline batteries. It is IP67 rated for dust-tight construction and waterproof operation to 1 meter for 30 minutes; IPX4 rated for water spray and impact resistance-tested to 3 meters.
