From September 2008 the Construction Products Directive (CPD) has required that within certain European countries, Manual Call Points placed on the market for use in 'Fire Detection and Fire Alarm Systems' in buildings are certified to EN54-11 and carry the CE mark.

Cooper Fulleon Ltd have been actively pursuing their policy of continuous product development and have made improvements in line with these standards to ensure customers are fully compliant with current legislation.

The new Call Points have replaced the old versions as of the 1st September 08. This new improved range, not only provides all the functionality of the old range it replaces, but also offers improved flexibility and performance.

The CXL Universal provides everything that the old CX version offered, but with the added flexibility of dual frangible elements (glass & re-settable), built in 470R & 680R resistors and the additional benefit of an LED indicator.

In addition, in order to meet the latest requirements of EN54-11, the Universal Weatherproof Manual Call Point (CXL/WP) has been modified (the dimension of the profile back box have been reduced), but still provides the same advantages as the version for indoor use.

The new compliant product range contains multilingual installation leaflets and labelling to ensure a truly universal range across different nations and markets.
