At approximately 2:30 pm, CFS was alerted to reports of a truck fire on the Eyre Highway, Kimba, in the Australian state's North West. Upon arrival, CFS crews found the cabin of the truck fully alight. The truck, transporting a hydraulic drill was destroyed, with the damage bill estimated to be around $100,000. Just after 1:00 pm in the afternoon, CFS were alerted to reports of a structure fire on Kangaroo Flat Road, Koorine, approximately 30 km north-west of Mount Gambier.
