UTC Fire & Security has announced the completion of the acquisition of Detection Logic Fire Protection, Inc., a leading provider of repair, service and inspection solutions to the life safety industry. The price was not disclosed. UTC Fire & Security is a unit of United Technologies Corp.
The company, Detection Logic Fire Protection, Inc., and its subsidiaries, including Pratt Landry Associates, Vantronics Security Systems, Dialcom System Services and Detection Logic, Inc. (formerly known as Copperstate Technologies and ASL), operate out of 13 U.S. branches concentrated in the West and Gulf Coast area. In 2007, Detection Logic was on Inc. Magazine’s list of The Fastest Growing Private Companies.

and Security Services business in the Americas, said that Detection Logic is “a strong and profitable company with excellent management talent and a blue-chip customer base.”
“The proposed acquisition will augment UTC Fire & Security’s presence in the western region and expand our footprint in the Gulf Coast area. Detection Logic has an attractive business mix comprising of retrofit, tenant improvement and recurring service work which typically is less cyclical than the new construction segment,” said Cintra.
