Navistar International Corporation has announced the appointment of Steve Ostarello to vice president of the company's powertrain product development organization.

Ostarello, a Navistar veteran with more than 25 years of experience, has held numerous roles of increasing responsibility in the company's engine engineering organization, including his most recent assignment as general manager, powertrain product development. With more than 25 years experience at Navistar, Ostarello has held a variety of roles in manufacturing, purchasing and engineering. He has held executive leadership positions in the company's engine engineering organization and led the company's vee and inline engine businesses. He also led numerous quality improvement programs for the V-8 engine Navistar supplied to Ford Motor Company.
