Firefighting foam has been an essential tool for controlling flammable liquid fires for decades, but traditional aqueous film-forming foams (AFFF) often contained PFAS “forever” chemicals that have been linked to health and environmental risks. Responding to this challenge, Rely Innovations has introduced the first UL listed portable fluorine-free foam extinguisher that meets NFPA-10 standards.

The new Rely FXTM P2.5SFFF (Synthetic Fluorine Free Foam) extinguisher uses NUFOAM, a PFAS-free foam agent solution that provides effective extinguishment and suppression for Class A and Class B fires. The premixed solution maintains its integrity for five years, aligning with the extinguisher’s required hydrostatic testing cycle and lowering lifetime service costs

Engineered for durability, the P2.5SFFF is built with a stainless steel cylinder, nickel-plated brass valve, welded siphon tube, and anodized aluminum air-aspirated nozzle. These materials allow the extinguisher to perform in demanding industrial, marine, and combat conditions.

Resistance to 200G impact forces

Military Specification testing confirmed resistance to 200G impact forces and extended vibration exposure, making the extinguisher suitable in harsh environments where reliability is critical.

Beyond performance, the extinguisher reflects a shift toward eco-conscious fire suppression. “Protecting responder health is critical,” said Ronald Siarnicki, Fire Chief, Prince George’s County, Maryland (Retired).

Having a product designed to reduce harmful exposures - and backed by a UL Listing - takes safety and serviceability to the next level.”
