Fire and Rescue NSW (FRNSW) crews are at the scene of a skydiving mishap at Wilton on Sydney's south-western outskirts. A 24-year-old skydiver crashed into a tree upon landing near Picton Road, just after 1.30pm.

The branches then snapped and the man fell up to 10-meters to the ground, injuring his lower back. Two FRNSW crews rushed to the scene and provided emergency care with NSW Ambulance. NSW Police, the Rural Fire Service and the State Emergency Service are also at the location.

The patient has been stabilized in preparation for a medical helicopter flight to hospital. He has suffered suspected spinal injuries in the incident.
