GST R6601 coventional smoke detector adopts infrared emitting diode and photodiode as its sensor. In normal condition, the photodiode only receives very weak signal. When smoke particles of a fire enter the detector, the received signal increases; when it passes the alarm threshold, it will alarm out, light alarm indicator and drive output relay to act. To reduce power consumption, the IR diode works intermittently. The detector is developed from sensing chamber by scattering technology. Besides stable performance and simple maintenance, the detector has the ability to resist dust contamination and environmental light.
